Privacy Policy
Last updated June 5, 2026
Audeeport is a local-first music player. Your music, your library, and your listening history stay on your device. This policy explains the limited data the Audeeport website and account system handle.
Your library stays on your device
Your music files, library index, equalizer presets, output profiles, skins, listening history, and search queries never leave the machine they live on. Audeeport reads your files in place and does not copy them off-device. For the full technical breakdown, see the Privacy section in our documentation.
Account information
When you buy Audeeport or create an account, we process:
- Your email address and, optionally, your name, to create your account and deliver your license.
- A password (stored only as a secure hash) or a linked Google or GitHub account, if you choose to set one.
- License and activation records, including the name and operating system of each device that activates your license, so you can manage your seats.
Trial and license activation
When you start a trial or activate a license, Audeeport collects your email address and a hashed device identifier. We use this to provide the trial, enforce license limits, prevent repeated trials on the same machine, measure trial-to-paid conversion, and protect the service from abuse. We do not store raw hardware serial numbers.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe receives the information needed to process your payment under its own privacy policy.
Social sign-in
If you choose to sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider to create or link your account. We request only basic profile and email access. We do not post on your behalf or read anything else from your social account, and you can unlink it at any time from your account page.
Transactional email (sign-in links, purchase confirmations, account notifications, and our replies to your support messages) is sent through Resend. We email you only for these purposes. There is no marketing list.
What the desktop app sends
By default the app makes only the network calls it needs: license validation, update checks, and the radio or podcast streams you choose to play. The following are optional and off by default: crash reports, feedback, and online metadata lookups. Your listening history and library contents never leave your computer.
Analytics and cookies
Our website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (self-hosted Umami). There are no third-party trackers, no cross-site profiling, and no advertising cookies. The only cookies we set are essential: your sign-in token, the beta invite gate, and your dismissal of the cookie notice.
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers named above (Stripe, Resend, and a sign-in provider you choose), strictly to operate Audeeport.
Retention
We keep your account, license, and activation data for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and its associated data at any time.
Your choices
- Access, correct, or delete your account data by emailing support@audeeport.com.
- Unlink a connected Google or GitHub account from your account page.
- Deactivate devices from your account page to free up license seats.
